You better believe that Chuuwee spits lyrical venom.
The Sacramento emcee stacks words and dizzying multiple syllable bars like it’s nobodies business, we should all gather around and thank Based God that it actually is.
Chuuwee drops knowledge on Digital Wax for a minute.
Q: First things first, introduce yourself to the cats that ain’t in the know!
A: My name is Chez Chuuwee Charlie SHREEM! Hailin’ from Sacramento, CA, City of Trees by way of SA-Town, TX.
Q: What was the transition like hip-hop culture wise from Texas to Sac-Town?
A: I wasn’t really into the scene when I was in Texas so locally I wouldn’t really know but I’ve always listened to a variety of different music so Sacramento just showed me more stuff I hadn’t heard yet.
Q: Who would you say are your influences?
A: My biggest influences are Jay-Z , Nas, AZ, Lauryn Hill, Gangstarr, and Redd my mother.
Q: Finish the sentence: Success to me is________
Hip-hop would be better off without________
A: Damn that’s dopest question I’ve ever been asked.
Success to me is consecutively meeting your biggest goals while still setting bigger ones.
Hip-Hop would be better off without so many people TRYING to do it. It’s not for everybody.
Q: Most writers often feel unsatisfied with their work and strive harder each and every time they write. Would you say you have the same mindset?
A: Most definately. I always aim to make my next joint better than my last.
Q: What pushes you to outdo yourself?
A: What pushes me the most to outdo myself honestly is critics and the OCD I’m cursed with lol.
I always try to give people the best shit so there’s no reason to hate, and I also see no reason to ever move backwards. Progress is key.
Q: That’s some raw knowledge right there man.
Let’s take this time to talk about your collab with Ooloo Clothing.
How did that all pop off?
A: I honestly don’t remember how I got in contact with Ooloo but I pitched the shirt idea to him and he was excited and we just built from there. We’re working on another joint as well and got some stuff cooking up with some major hitters so be on the look out.
Q: What’s next for Chuuwee?
A: What’s next for me is A3C in Atlanta, I’m working on Watching The Throne, my free album dropping early November and of course The Millenium Falcon with my brother Sundown of Actual Proof. Big ups to Jamla/IWWG .
Q: How would you describe Chuuwee in three words?
A: Charismatic, Ratchet, Dope.
Q: Any last words to the readers?
A: Last words to the readers peep chuuweeoftus.bandcamp.com. Be on the lookout for The Millennium Falcon, Watching The Throne, and Class Act with my boy J.Good. TUS all day and night, Tree City 916 stand up. And big ups to you for the interview I greatly appreciate the look.

Rest in Power, Gil Scot Heron
Gil Scott was a true pioneer in his art form. The music and poetry he created paved the way for modern-day hip hop and spoken word. I am sincerely thankful for what he gave to the world and the musical community.
God Bless.
